pectoralis major

Omdat er regelmatig commentaar komt op de "plaatjes"van de de pec. major, hier wat fotos.

This is a very interesting illustration of a dozen muscles. In particular, note the pectoralis major on the left anterior thoracic wall. No doubt you recall the points of origin (proximal anterior 2/3 of the clavicle, full length of the sterum, and the costal cartilages 1 -5) and insertion (lateral lip of the biccipital groove). Obviously, it is a large muscle that functions to flex the upper limb (using the clavicular fibers), extend the upper limb (via the sternal fibers), and adduct and/or inwardly rotate the upper limb. The fibers from the clavicle function with the anterior deltoid (that arises from the anterior distal 1/4 of the clavicle), the short head of the biceps brachii (originating from the coracoid process), and the coracobrachialis (also from the cp) to flex the shoulder joint.

Wat was het "commentaar" dan op pec.major plaatjes?

Dit kadaver heeft niet veel verschil met de illustraties in anatomie-boeken...

Commentaar was dat getekende plaatjes niet betrouwbaar genoeg zijn. Vooral mbt tot aanhechtinspunten en het onder/boven/binnen/buiten verhaal.

Maar zoals je ziet benaderen ze de realiteit goed.

Wat me trouwens opvalt, is dat maar weinig mensen een echte bodybuild chest hebben. Vooral op dit board zijn er maar tiental met echt een perfect gevormde chest om hem zoals je op foto's ziet te developen.

Is dit genetisch bepaald? Of is dit een kwestie van trainen. Arnold had natuurlijk de perfecte chest, maar dit was gewoon een genetisch wonder.

grotendeels kwestie van trainen, 95 % van de members hebben simpelweg niet genoeg massa voor een mooi ontwikkelde borst...

Tuurlijk heb je altijd uitschieters als Arnold ertussen zitten, die chest is persoonlijk door God getekend, op de 8e dag schiep god het lichaam van Arnold (alleen hij had geen tijd meer voor z'n benen).
