WWE suspends 10 wrestlers

Based on information received from investigators in the Albany, NY district attorneys office, World Wrestling Entertainment decided to finally take some action. WWE officially suspended 10 wrestlers earlier today.

Names have yet to be released, but it should be quite obvious over the next week or so when you notice that certain individuals are missing from television and house shows when they were at events this past week.

Apparently, the suspensions are based on proof of wrestlers using Signature Pharmacy or another internet prescription type firm for their drugs. Getting drugs over the internet is prohibited by the WWE Wellness policy. You need to have a doctor's notice to be able to get away with using drugs. That explains why Chris Benoit passed so many tests even though he was using an exorbitant amount of steroids while the WWE Wellness policy was in place.

WWE officials informed all wrestlers that beginning on November 1, 2007, WWE will publicly release the names of anyone who is suspended under drug policy violations. In the months/years prior, it was company policy to not publicly announce the names of suspended performers. You'd have to go on internet wrestling websites to find out about wrestlers being suspended.

The New York Daily News has posted up an article in which they identify several WWE wrestlers as clients of Signature Pharmacy in Orlando. WWE suspended 10 unnamed wrestlers today based upon information received in the Signature bust. The original WWE Wellness policy prohibited internet prescriptions. The names listed in the article include:

- Randy Orton
- Charles Haas, Jr.
- Adam "Edge" Copeland
- Robert "Booker T" Huffman
- Shane Helms
- Anthony "Santino Marelli" Carelli
- John "Johnny Nitro" Hennigan
- Darren "William Regal" Matthews
- Ken "Mr. Kennedy" Anderson
- Chavo Guerrero
- Mike "Simon Dean" Bucci

Only ten of the eleven wrestlers named in the article are currently on-screen performers for WWE. Simon Dean hasn't wrestled in over a year -- he's currently an office worker for WWE.

Furthermore, it's important to note that the list of names in the article is not the official list of the ten unnamed wrestlers that were suspended today, not to mention that it is not an indication of any illegal actions on their part. This list is simply of wrestlers that were clients of the Signature Pharmacy. If the prescriptions for the wrestlers listed predate the WWE Wellness Policy being put into place -- which was in February 2006 -- the suspensions would be questionable, but perhaps due to government pressure, WWE feels it has no choice but to suspend these individuals anyway. Three other names, now deceased, Chris Benoit, Brian Adams and Eddie Guerrero were also on the list. There are believed to be several more former WWE wrestlers on the list. If the prescriptions were dated after February of 2006, WWE would have little choice in the matter when it comes to laying down suspensions.

Nee, dat niet, maar wel veel schorsingen. De verschillen in het roster zijn al merkbaar, maar die zal ik niet vertellen ivm eventuele spoilers. Nick "Eugene" Dinsmore en Mike "Simon Dean" Bucci zijn al wel ontslagen, en er wordt verwacht dat er misschien nog wat meer mensen ontslagen zullen worden.

WWE has come to terms on the release of Raw Superstars Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard and Jayson Paul) as of September 2. We wish them both the best in all future endeavors.

Orton heeft z'n gezicht alweer laten zien op diverse house shows, het ziet er dus naar uit dat hij de dans wederom ontspringt. Hij was ook op de RAW die vanavond op tv komt (die is dit weekend opgenomen). Geen schorsing dus voor Orton.

Natuurlijk gaan z de toppers geen schorsing geven he het zou slechte zaak zijn om Orton nu in midden van storyline met Cena weg te doen. Vraag mij toch even af of z Batista en Lashley even laten plassen hebben

Het gaat niet zozeer om het gebruik van A.S., mits het op doktersvoorschrift is. Wat nu het geval is, is dat sommige gasten het illegaal via internet hebben besteld, wat dus, volgende de WWE policy, verboden is.

Yup. Chris Benoit bijvoorbeeld, die nu dus dood is, heeft ook alle tests gehaald bij de WWE welness policy. Dit terwijl hij een shitload aan steroids thuis had liggen. Maar omdat hij een persoonlijke vriend was met z'n huisarts, en dus alles op recept kreeg, konden ze hem daar niet op pakken.

Het probleem is, dat worstelaars die in de jaren 80/90 enorm populair waren, nu vallen als bosjes door hartaanvallen door overmatig A.S. gebruik. De WWE wil dus, om een boodschap aan de buitenwereld af te geven, de jongens schorsen die illegaal aan AS komen.

Het is dus allemaal zo hypocriet als wat, want Vince McMahon zelf is ook niet echt vies van A.S. gebruik, maar goed, nu er toch wel érg veel worstelaars overlijden, komen dus dit soort acties dmv schorsingen. De tests worden door een bedrijf van buitenaf gedaan, dus niet door de WWE zelf, dus ze kunnen die uitslagen niet manipuleren.
